FSS Events
The FSS organises relaxed events and excursions for seafarers.
Seafarers who are entitles to FSS services can participate in FSS events. Maritime students and retired seafarers are also welcome, as long as there is space available.
In addition to tournaments and the Nordic Photography competition the annual event calendar includes:

The Winter Sports Day invites seafarers to enjoy skiing and downhall skiing in the Spring. A timed race has tradionally also been organised for those interested, |
We spend an active week in the fells of the Ylläs area. We stay in cabins, from where we make enjoyable day hikes to the surrounding area. In the evening we have dinner together and return to the cabins. |
During a three day course. participants make traditional seafaring handicrafts. Participants can make a range of items such as pot holders, mats and key chains, depending on skills and interests. |
The FSS has an online book club monthly. The meetings are generally in Finnish but if there is interest in English books and meetings, we are happy to organise a meeting in English. |

Koko päivän, tai useamman päivän kestävissä tapahtumissa, osallistujille tarjotaan yksi ateria.
Osassa kursseista osallistujat maksavat omavastuuosuuden. Tapahtuman kuvauksessa mainitaan omavastuuhinta, jos sellainen on.
